She'll always be able to come back and get great quality work. I just think these things are to be expected. You can't be on top forever - there's a whole new generation of models who are landing the big campaigns and taking the attention now. Early 2000s it was all about Gisele, Karolina, Karen, Angela, Liya, etc. Then we had Daria, Natalia, Natasha, Raquel, Lara, etc. Now it's all Cara, Karlie, Joan, Anna, etc.

That's why you see so many of these models branch out into other fields, just to maintain their publicity and diversify income streams. But there will always be quality work for quality models. And Raquel is absolutely regarded within the industry as being of the highest quality that a model can be.

My instinct is that her absence from the fashion world at the moment is of her own doing. She probably just wanted some time off to enjoy her life and explore other interests.

Oh yea, she'll definitely be welcomed back with open arms (and a few contracts) when she comes back. I mean just think of the few shoots she's done while she's been on this break; they're all for major publications/photographers.
