Based in NY, the Brazilian stylist Matheus Mazzafera, collaborator of Vogue, RG Vogue and of this site, spent an afternoon with the number 1 top model in the world. The Brazilian Raquel Zimmermann received Matheus in her apartment, just out of Manhattan, in Brooklyn. The region, that used to contain a number of factories, is today one of the coolest addresses of the city. Raquel lives with her boyfriend, Ruy Sanchez, in an apartment where there is a factory of guitars - she is passionate abouit rock n' roll, the young could not have chosen a more appropriate spotlight. Curiously the model number 2 of the world Sasha Pivovarova, second on the site Models.com also lives in the building.
A painting by Gustav Klimt adorns the walls of Raquel's apartment, which enjoys an incredible phase... Eleven years of career, the last of them in the Olympics of fashion. The Brazilian is worshipped by the powerful publisher of American Vogue, Anna Wintour -she has been in the pages of the publication many times, beside another record-breaking model, Carol Trentini.
After the chat at home and the mini-session of snapshots for Matheus, the pair had lunch in one Raquel's favourite restuarants the Miss Favela. Where? Near the corner of her home. The specialty? Turnovers and cachaças, that ended the afternoon in the life of the top model and the top stylist.

Funny that Naomi likes both Raquel and Christy, I think they look a bit alike, just sometimes. Like on Raquel's i-D cover, she reminded me a lot of Christy I guess Karl Lagerfeld saw the resemblance as well when he said Raquel was going to be the next Christy Turlington
