hopefully, she'll pop out for some shows.

thefashiontime.comI came across Paulo Reis’ photo of Raquel Zimmerman and could not resist talking about it.

I had a surreal experience last Sao Paulo Fashion Week. As Raquel made her way through the catwalk, people would scream and clap, as if she were a rock star. I have never experienced anything like this in a fashion week, where people usually keep to themselves. It was madness.
Raquel is now considered the Number One model these days. Move over Kate, move over Gisele. She’s appeared in the latest campaigns for Gucci, Hermès, Giorgio Armani, Jean Paul Gaultier and Viktor & Rolf Fragance. She has graced the latest issues of Vogue Paris, Vogue Italia, Self Service, V Magazine, W Magazine and Vogue Nippon and has been an habitué in American Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Visionaire, POP and Self Service.
As a model she is extremely versatile. She does not have ‘a look’, which in my opinion, is the best thing for a model. She is able to incorporate different characters, different looks, different moods. At the Jean Paul Gaultier AW09 campaign, she posed as a feminine AND masculine model. You can see the effect here.
I personally met her last June and was surprised at how down-to-earth she was. There was no requirement for special treatment, food, backstage space, nothing! Unlike Gisele, who requires a separate backstage room and also food. Despite being the world’s top model, she does not ask for any different treatment. That is chic!
Ladies and Gentlemen, Brazilian beauty, chameleon and model, Raquel Zimmerman!
