Raquel is shooting another fashion film at showstudio today. :woot:

We're on-set once more with Ruth Hogben and Katie Shillingford for our second exclusive SHOWstudio.com fashion film shoot in as many weeks - this time alongside the stellar talents of Gareth Pugh and Raquel Zimmermann to boot! For A/W 2010 we're shooting a series of designer monographs of some of the strongest of Paris' collections - Pugh's latest being our second after last week's Celine-centric extravaganza. Once more we'll be documenting ever moment, uploading a steady stream of candid images captured throughout the day alongside blogs and tweets from our very own Olivia Marks hot on the studio floor. At the moment, Ms. Zimmermann is in make-up with Alex Box - and the above collage of Joan Crawford celluloid iconography backstage gives a few ideas as to the inspiration behind the film and make-up. Think thirties, think starkly monochrome, and think arch - and that's just the eyebrows. Hopefully there are no wire hangers on Katie's bulging rail of Pugh…
Look one of Ruth Hogben's Gareth Pugh A/W10 fashion film and there's something ever so slightly formidable about the leather clad Raquel Zimmerman as she towers above us mere mortals on the studio floor. In stiff flares, structured jacket and vertiginous wedges, she wouldn't look out of place in a pre-war Berlin night club, if it wasn't for the full face of make up which is more akin to the wonderfully frightening Bette Davis a la Whatever Happened to Baby Jane rather than a Sally Bowles era Minelli.
As long and lean as a New York skyscraper and with talons to match, it is only Raquel's fluid movements that belie the rigidity of Pugh's ensemble. But to see Raquel in motion you will just have to wait for the full finished film. Until then, stay sated with our on set photos.

Gareth's and Ruth's vision of thirties Hollywood continues to delve into darker, more macabre and distinctly more fetishistic places. Raquel has shed the modest leather coat in favour of a braces and slacks combo, finished with a pair of elbow length leather gloves and smouldering cigarette hanging from scarlet stained lips. Think Marlene Dietrich at her most seductive and you're somewhere near the right lines.

Symmetry, linearity and structure - it's all successfully reflected and articulated in look 4 of our first day of shooting. Moving on from deconstruction in the last look, Raquel is once again fully clothed in a form-fitting leather dress and trousers, the contrasting lines of which artfully add to the architectural theme running through the film and clothes.

In this, our fifth and final look of the day, the brave Raquel Zimmerman has donned a giant parachute/balloon construction. We end where we aim to begin tomorrow: eschewing stark rigidity for a lighter, more fluid look.

Can't wait for this! Mr Pugh must like her very much since this is the 2nd time she's filming for Gareth.

The beautiful Raquel Zimmerman has been sitting stoically in the hair and make-up chair for the best part of the morning while Alex Box and Martin Collin work their magic to crate the look for the second day of Ruth Hogben's film. Starting slightly behind schedue, filming is now in full swing and images will be making their way to you shortly.

Yesterday we caught a glimpse of 1930s Hollywood glamour - as seen through the eyes of Gareth Pugh and Ruth Hogben that is. As sinister as it was seductive, Raquel Zimmerman made the perfect pin up girl for their twisted cinematic vision.
Today the clothes and hair may have loosened up - second skin leather is replaced or accompanied with weightless languorous layers, but that's not to say the mood has lightened at all. Thigh high dominatrix boots have put paid to that idea, as have Raquel's spider-like movements, leaving no other way to describe her other than being akin to the deadliest Black Widow.

Katie Shillingford and team put the finishing touches to look 7 of our Gareth Pugh A/W10 shoot. The straight diagonal lines on this semi-sheer cape continue the linear look of the shoot - but there's nothing rigid about the way it moves. Especially with the addition of a wind machine, but you'll have to wait for the film to see that...

Look 8 and along with a sheer top, leather drainpipes and sumptuous coat, Raquel has donned an artfully crafted birdsnest hairdo - complete with feather headpiece.
