Rasa Zukauskaite

She looked silly at Prada. But that was most because of the clothes and especially the sunglasses. yuk
I love how she looks at Prada, the glasses are so cute on her.

Wow, I was not expecting her to show up at Versace, but she looks great.

Big big names!

i am new to this thread. i think it is very surprising how few shows she is doing if you consider that she is in the prada campaign, only girl. i wonder if this is a comment on the importance of doing the prada campaign, or that she is just not all that great in person. i do not know her, but i can't say that i am convinced by her pics.

I must say I'm convinced by her pictures and by how her book started to turn lately (Numéro especially). But I agree with you on the tiny showlist compared to what we can (still?) expect from a girl who got a Prada campaign... or is it just that she fits for a certain aesthetic and not necessarily many others ? Seems so, to me at least. She's got a very specific face that might not be appealing to all brands/casting directors despite of the (overrated?) prestige of her campaign.

maybe some of the casting directors are really starting to think on there own and not just following the crowd. maybe they are thinking do we really like this girl, or do we like her just because she did the prada campaign?

Would be a very smart move from them, despite the fact I truly like Rasa and think she deserves attention. And I actually believe what you say is getting more possible these days. Fortunately, I'd say and I can even see it as a major shift beyond the simple field of show castings. Something that would cover all parts of the process of managing models in general and the end of the concept of "new faces". (and it's me who says that :ninja::lol:)

I love Rasa to death, but the bottomline is that she's not a "standard" runway girl with her height and proportions. Although she doesn't fall in the category of other Russell favorites like Hannah or Mimmi, either (Both of whom are much shorter/less runway-appropriate than Rasa), it's still more difficult for Rasa to become as memorable for catwalk casting directors as other girls can. Prada or not, if the clothes won't look right - something even more critical for a Fall/Winter season - she won't be cast.

All in all she didn't have a terrible Milan season - still huge shows for what it's worth :)

I agree I would have expected her to do more shows but she has done all the biggest ones like Prada, Versace and Dolce!:D Cant wait to see more pics of her at dolce she looked so pretty in that lacey silk top:heart:

^^Quite a good analysis ^_^ And indeed her season isn't bad at all... not overwhelming, that's what I think BLACKLAB wanted to highlight.

Then I think the bookings she got so far won't hurt at all, all of them being of a pretty high level and making her list look rather "select"... which is a pretty good thing on the long run. Focusing on editorials, campaigns and doing the appropriate amount/quality of runway work. (ETA: I guess I don't need to specify who I refer to :D)
