I have the tortoise Ray Bans. I would get the red too, but honestly I just feel the trend may be on it's last leg for a few months. Dita's will be my next - I think.

the way you can tell that this has really gotten out of control is when American Apparel sells the red ones on their website...which they do now...

my mom has the same exact pair that she used to wear in the 80s

From their sunglass collection, I'm pondering:

I would definitely recommend the xanadu. I have that champagne gold model and wear it all the time. The continental I find kind of clunky and hard to fit. Well, it doesn't fit my face at all. Unless you have a good sized nose I wouldn't get it. That model looks best on guys.

Hey, thanks! I was thinking the continentals were going to be pretty big. I've tried on the xanadu's and they are amazing. I really like the rose/gold together. Where did you buy yours at? I have to go over to the bay area to pick mine up when I do - the entire state of NV has never even heard of Dita, let alone would they even think to carry them at any of the standard shops around here.

I got them at the Dita Shop in LA. It's a cool store, if you're in town you should check it out.

my roomie just got the red ones but he decided he doesnt like them with his skintone.

wait a week and i'll be posting photos of me in the =)

^ If you do decide on buying some, I would go for the oversized ones. Plain ol' Raybans are definitely overplayed and old by now.

Is it too late to buy Wayfarers? Are they totally passe now?

I don't think it's too late to buy wayfarers at all! They are classic and will keep coming back in style, so I think they are a great investment. Plus, it is hard to find a style of sunglasses that truly look good on different faces, and wayfarers are very flattering! Hope this helped!

I agree. Raybans are definitely a classic look. Just make sure you find a size that is good for your face and I am sure you will be able to rock it whether it becomes passe or not.

I also agree with everyone, imo Wayfarers along with Aviators are perhaps the most classic of classic sunglasses, they never go out of style, look for how many years they've been around. It's like one decade Wayfarers are IN, then the next one Aviators, and so on. These 2 sunglass styles are a good investment. All my sunglasses are either wayfarers or aviators. And even though if they're not in style or overworked, if you like them buy them!

I don't care if they're overworn or out of style I love these glasses and I think If you find a unique pair you can make them look great.

Wayfarers are classic. They work well with my face and look so I don't care if they are "tired". I do have a question. I saw the green camo print frames online a few months ago and they've disappeared! Where can I get them?

i think theyre classic i will still be rocking them through this year..
