Rayban wayfarers #1

My boyfriend's parents passed these to me...they are Vintage B&L Ray Ban, the style is called "Bohemian", are they considered wayfarers too?
They are too small for my large face - but his parents won't take them back, what do to now... selling? Would it be better to sell them to US people since they seem to be more popular/trendy there? As others said, wayfarers aren't that popular here in Germany  Or should I keep them hoping they will be worth more next time the trend comes up?

I have the same exact pair, with minimal to no wear. source is ebay.com

^ hm they look really similar to wayfarers

I have a pair of vintage tortoise ones and I love them.

They are classics. I love seeing older people out and about wearing them!

Me too!

I just bought a pair of the two tone ones. They also had pretty colorful ones at Nordstrom. But my all time favorite wayfarers would have to be the oversized ones Audrey wears in Breakfast at Tiffanys.

jewel, i love the Audrey ons too! do you know if they have a different name or are they just called wayfarers as well?

The classic wayfarers don't look good on my face either which is really a pity because I really like them. I think it's kinda hard for most people to pull them off.

I love RayBan Wayfarers, I own a couple, I've black and white ones.

They are eternal, you always look good and stylish if you wear them.

i have liked wayfarers for a long time because they are classic and iconic (the design was originally patented in 1953). i don't really like how they have become subsumed into the hipster aesthetic. it means that wayfarers are now commonly seen with a LOT of horrid outfits, and also, i can't walk 5 feet in new york without seeing a street vendor hawking knock-offs for $10. so i'm putting mine away until the current revival subsides.

I used to like them but now too many people buy them just to show off .

I want the classic Ray-Ban wayfarers, in tortoiseshell, but I tried them on today and they just seemed so large! Do they make smaller ones? Also, is there a certain face shape that they flatter the most? I have a very simple, "preppy" (if I had to label it) style and I think they would go along well with my overall aesthetic preferencesB)

Really? I actually find them too small for my larger frame. Mybe you tried on the wayfarers II because those are larger than the regular ones. They are smaller than most sunglasses imo and therefore dont fit most people.

Yeah there are different sizes. Basically the drop of the frame gets smaller.

Theres Small, Medium and Large????

I like large then medium. But medium is cheaper sooo im in love with themmmm =)

Probably a very silly question but are the glasses worn by Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's Raybans?

yeah and they have some pretty unique models. i saw an older italian man wearing a lovely pair of persol's during my grad trip in punta cana, i just wanted to whisk them off his face

I don't like the new wayfarers made by Ray Ban this year (the colored ones). ^ I feel for you! lol

Classic Wayfarer is my favourite..I don't like the new ones.

I love my wayfarers and all and I've owned them since the 90's but this trend is becoming overrated...

But if you're the only one in your neighborhood is wearing them then they're still coolB)
but here in my corner of the world, almost everyone has one...I want shuttershades
