I just bought the tortoise shall wayfarers, but i've been up all night wondering if it's authentic! Can someone help?

I got a Ray Ban Luxottica cover, but the wayfarers itself looks like it's the Bausch and Lomb version.

On one arm, it says 'Wayfarer' and 'Handmade in Italy' and the other arm has 'RB2140 902/57' and some numbers on it.

On the glasses itself there is a small BL logo on the side.

Does anybody know if this should be the case? Thanks!

I have the classic black Rayban wayfarers, but I want to get a bright coloured pair for summer such as turquoise, pink or purple. Does anyone know where you can buy the coloured ones in New Zealand? Because the only colours I have seen here are black, red and tortoiseshell.

I ordered mine the same way...the only con is that u can't check them out for any scratches or marks...BTW I was wondering does anyone know what are the sunglasses with the wayfarer siloutte but without the silver details on the sides called? Wayfarers?

I kept finding fake Raybans at Nordstrom and other places, and when I tried them on, they looked way too long for my face - which was weird, because they always looked so wide. Then I tried the real ones on and they looked so much better and slimmer. I really liked them, but I'm not sure if I am going to buy them yet.

A lot of celebrities own pairs, but why should that change anyone's mind? I get being unique with style choices, but hey, if the glasses fit...

Thanks, those are the clubmasters which I think are not the best sunglasses around. I was meaning something like black plastic frame with wayfarer shape, without the two frontside metal details on the frame. Like those worn in Michael Kors FW 08/09 campaign.

i don't know why, but in Bali you can find a lot of fake wayfarer but in 100% good imitation. and also very cheap and various colours and style for about $4 each.

Yep they sound authentic, so I wouldn't worry!

Eww Jonas Brothers...lolU're right it seems almost everyone of young Hollywood (there are exceptions though) don't know how to wear this sunglasses or give the appeal while wearing them that icons such as Bob Dylan, Audrey Hepburn, JFK, Debbie Harry and countless others did back in the day.

I guess that's the main reason some of us wear them...we wear them because of the history, the whole culture around it, the aesthetic...we don't wear them because they're IN, or so and so wears them, or because we want to make ppl think we are something we are not. I wish the trend would kind of disappear so not a lot would be wearing them. The only good thing about the trend is that we can get new original or fake wayfarers with the same old designs or new versions. I prefer the classic ones. The colored or new design ones yell "I'm a hipster, I'm a Fashionist, LOOK AT ME!".

I agree! I adore my raybans, but dont feel like wearing them as often anymore- because they've become so trendy..

If you had the choise between vintage black wayfarers and new purple ones, what would you choose?? (a friend of mine is giving me one of hers - and i have to choose, but i cant decide )
