ive got some and Oh. My. God... i look SO BAD in them..
its not even funny.. it makes me look SO weird and ridiculous... *shudder*

^ exactly, I used to wear them before they got 'trendy' now mine are safely store away, until the trend dies down. it's no fun looking like a clone :innocent:

some wayfarers are the only sunglasses that suits my face shape

i found this wayfarer at value village a couple months ago, it has got paint splattered on them, looks cute! people ask me if i can see through them. obviously i can, why else would i wear them?

as i said before, i ve got one but i wear them as an usual occular, with "white" glasses. but when i wear them here in cologne, everone is staring at me like...you know, in this special way....no comment...

Anastazja, I wear my Ray Bans as 'regular' glasses for distance as well. Yes they make me look 'special' and 'weird.' I like that. Actually with work clothes, like a high waisted black Acne skirt and crisp white shirt and red lips they give me a really awesome 80s working girl look.

I was just watching St. Elmo's Fire; Demi Moore wears big ol' glasses with a wayfarer-ish shape when she's at work, smoking at her desk. Glasses live on, smoking at work does not.

It tempers my outfits when they get to crazy. I guess i should just post a pic of them at some point and endure the slings and arrows but...

Also, was it here that someone said they slid off their face? I'm being a total dorkus here but I went to my local supermarket, and picked up some cheapie 'eye kit' it has this rubber bands that look like they're for braces and some padded stickers. You stick the padded stickers onto the nose pieces to prevent sliding, and the rubber bands you roll onto the hinges to give a tighter fit. Its totally fixed all my issues with my glasses.

^That's what I've done to my wayfarers.

But you can find loads and loads of other wayfarer type frames at flea markets, other eyeglass/sunglass companies as well, its not just Rayban. I don't recognize Helena's as made by Rayban.

All you need is the frames.

rayban wayfarers will eternally remind me of my father, not nicole richie. thank god.

are the 'geek glasses' ones wayfarers or are they called something else? i must have them! i love wayfarers...yah they're trnedy now, but my dad had a pair and i got a pair last year and love them to death!

^^ 'Geek glasses' are any oversized thick rimmed ones w/no or clear lenses in a wayfarer-esque style.

Nyx's pic the girl is wearing raybans. Helena's I dont think are.
