Anyone got any pictures? These boys are seriously gorgeous:heart:  . Oh, and there music is good, too;) .

Seen them live twice..

I really like them, they're not my favourite but a good band.

Not quite as good as The Strokes or Libertines.

I wouldn't compare the Strokes and Libertines. Razorlight is like the common man's Libertines and The Strokes are like an American man's Razorlight (ie an American common man's Libertines). They are fun though and I like 'Dalston'! Wonder why :innocent:

The Libertines are a bit overrated to me. Up the Bracket is the only song I've heard, and I love it, but it seems just as good as stuff by the Bravery, and not as good as the Kaiser Chiefs, Bloc Party, or Interpol.:p

Thats putting the Strokes down a bit, they practically started the rock/indie/punk resurgence, at least in mainstream music.

I wouldn't compare the three either, but thats because its all different music, they're all very good bands.

In my mind Strokes songs have a great feel to them, they're really warm and bright.

The Libertines, when they all come together just produce a great sound, so representative of life, with so much going on, lyrics flying back and forth.

Razorlight for me don't have so much of a typical feel, I don't seem to associate them with anything particular, but the music is great, with so much energy, and the lyrics are awesome

The first time I heard Razorlight was on that car commecial... I was thinking about how much I loved the song (Golden Touch) and finally did a google search and found out who they were...

So thats my story. I'm so out of it.

Ah but see I wouldn't judge a band by only having heard one song, especially as you "love it"! Therefore you know they have a great sound but you haven't had access to the entire scope of their reference, meaning and ideology. Some of my favourite bands in the world didn't grab me at the get go, and songs I loved straight away, I later realised were quite blah. Reading background and biographies help too because you can 'feel the scene' so to speak... and we all know The Libs have something of a colourful history ;)

They are all good bands, but the Libertines are a GREAT band. Yes the Strokes are fun but there is little more. I think the difference is in Pete Doherty and Carl Barat's rather grimy, dangerous and often sad experiences. Furthermore Pete's time studying English at Oxford (one year) really shows. Julian Casablancas on the other hand is a rich New York boy whose father is the boss at one of the biggest modelling firms in New York. Nick and Fabrizio were at the elite Dwight school. It doesn't quite compare and neither do the lyrics. Lyrically Razorlight are better than the Strokes (they came out of the same scene as the Libertines) but musically they are about the same. Johnny Borrel is a bit of a twat, and though some say that about Pete, he is more Byron-esque than anything.

Starting the resurgance of a style means nothing. It really depends upon what the idiotic music journos pick up on first. Remember that the Libertines were around as long as the Strokes, the two lead members were putting things together long before and they even toured as The Strokes' support. Also starting a trend, is not the same as doing it best.

Well its all personal opinion. I just rate Razorlight as highly as the Libertines.

Johnny Borrell actually used to play with The Libertines a lot, he was even asked to join them, but wanted to do his own thing.

Yeah Carl was talking about it and was like "mind you, there's no stage in the world big enough for those two [Pete and Johnny] egos"!

I like their music but they're nothing special.
Johnny Borrell looks a lot like my horse so I wouldn't call him gorgeous.Nice body though.
