how did you guess? B) actually i went to school in rhode island. is it totally hipsterish music? i was actually wondering where you went to school, cause you had mentioned in another thread you were a sculpture major...:innocent:
scissor sisters..hm they're alright, but i never got the fuss about them. but i think you are probably better than i am at this..i was thinking droogist=sonic youth for some reason. i would say i'm a fairly uncultivated listener..but recently i've be listening to figurine, mo town hits, thelonious monk..i'd like to know more about the european electronic scene..its all raw old school stuff where i am now (minneapolis)
Damn, I'm good! I wouldn't call it "totally hipsterish music"...it just seems like for some reason 99% of the people who make or listen to that kind of music come from the places I named (with some exceptions of course...believe it or not, I almost included Minneapolis in the list :P)

I went to school in New York (Columbia)

Important!: Scissor Girls /= Scissor Sisters. The Scissor Girls were an experimental late-90s punk bank from Chicago. The Scissor Sisters are a bunch of overhyped purveyors of mediocre pap from New York. (Apologies to any Scissor Sisters fans....I just really don't get them, to say the least.)

I actually harbor a pretty intense dislike for Sonic Youth, but yours is a common misconception about me...I'm just about the only person I know who doesn't like them, so I guess everyone just assumes that I do. One dear friend (bless his heart) even went so far as to give me one of their concert t-shirts as a present

droogist - everybody knows/leonard cohen
Thanks anna k, that's a great song. It's been eons since I've listened to it, because years ago the boyfriend of my then-roommate sent it to her on a tape...she proceeded to play it over and over and over again for weeks on end, until I was fantasizing wicked ends for her, her boyfriend, and Mr. Cohen...but I'm over it now. :D

And thanks s'ngac, that's one of my favorite JL songs
