I recommend you all get drunk, stoned or just tired and listen to Cinematic Orchestra. I am obsessed with this band now, it's just so Godamn mellow there's no way you couldn't like it, very instrument heavy, but not overwhelming.

funny you mention them..i have been obsessed!! :D i only have one album..the motion picture soundtrack?? has evolution etc...yeah, when i was living in london a couple years ago it was the soundtrack that summoned up my life there, and i did do all of those things you listed above!! i agree it is good chill tones. i've tried to spread the word..but i think you have to introduce it to people in the right context. what albums do you have of them?? which one is your favorite?

I just have a mixed CD my bud burned me. I couldn't stop listening to it. The reason I love old movies is because of the soundtracks, and this was like the Bullitt soundtrack, which I highly recommend as well.

Bullitt, 1968 w' Steve McQueen

guys...
why don't you start a thread on them and share...

I like this thread a lot, but I'm embarrassed to say my musical horizon is not as broad as the majority of the people who post in The Art of Noise
