Reina in English translates to “queen” which makes it a note perfect name for Supreme’s latest entrant in the new model sweepstakes. Hailing from the Dominican Republic , Reina was glimpsed by OTM making the rounds at Dominica Moda 2009. It’s going to be very exciting watching that presence on the FW 10 runways!

I know exactly what you mean. Everytime I see a new Supreme model I'm like , before I realise that it's often just those gourgeous saturated polaroids I'm impressed by. Polaroids are supposed to show the model in her purest, most unadorned form - it's about raw potential - and as much as I love the Supreme ones, they really don't do that.

Reina looks like she could have potential though, and with Supreme she has a good chance at some good shows. Although I'm not crazy about the not-too-subtle African theme they've gone for in these shots. It's a little too early in her career to be typecasted isn't it?

I have a giant respect for Supreme Models I can only say once, Reina is adorable I will love to see more of her.

These last shots remind me somewhat of Sessilee's first single girl ed for Italian Vogue which indeed show that she does have editorial potential and she obviously has runway potential as her legs seem to go for miles and her height is quite good as well. I just hope that she is singled out a bit more to be able to find her own true niche. I dislike how ethnic models are sometimes put into categories and are styled to look like Alek Wek, Iman, Naomi or Grace Jones. I want to see Reina as her own. The world needs more role models of color.

I agree with you ax80, I hate when they typecast the ethnic girls, just let them be themselves and have they own unigue look not be like somebody else. it is annoying.
Reina has a lot of potential I hope that supreme work with her amazing looks instead of trying to make her somebody else.

I agree so much! it's always cool to see, but after a while it gets a little old. it's like the industry doesn't think that these models can handle it or something which is obviously not true.
