sorry, it was Marie Claire.
Interview from Marieclaire
Mc: You look wonderful, it seems everything is all right around you. Has it always been like that?
R: thanks for the compliment, I'm trying to live healthy, making sports, I care what I eat, and I have to admit, I live balanced life. When I started modeling, it was different. I was worned by the all-time traveling, being alone, and I didn't handle the money as I should do. Nowadays, everything has changed. I live in a happy relationship for 3 years now with an English guy, who is an actor. I learned to enjoy the traveling, and the earned money I try to invest shrewdly. For example, I've just bought a flat in Óbuda (elegant part of Budapest), the furniture of it takes all my time right now.
MC: So you aren't working now?
R: sure I do... In this buisness there is no stop for a minute. I arrived home yesterday from a shot from South France, tomorrrow I travel to Paris for a Shisheido campaign shot. I'm absoluteley not bored....
MC: wich of your works are you the most proud for?
It was a great
It was a great honour to walk for VS with stars like Heidi Klum or Gisele Bundchen. They’re real professionals, they always know how to behave even at backstage. I’m also proud of the Lancome, Gap, Giorgio Armani cosmetics and A/X Armani Exchange campaigns, and of course allof my Marie Claire covers.
MC: How did your career start?
R: Nobody discovered me, noone stopped me on the street to start modeling, actually I wanted all this thing. I walked to the Visage Management, wich was a small agency at that time. Csaba Kajdi, who was the head of the firm started to take care of my career, and even at the beginning of my career such great international agencies started to call me like Marilyn. Among my first jobs there was a Wallpaper cover and a shot for Sports Illustrated.
MC: Where do you spend most of your time nowadays?
R: I live in NY, although I travel a lot to London because of my boyfriend. My job is absolutely incalculable, sometimes I travel 6 days in a week. A shot in Sydney, then castings in New York, then comes Paris. Buisness class is great then, because sometimes I travel more than 24 hours. I can’t imagine my life out of Hungary. I was born in Budapest, but grew up in Sopron. My parents couldn’t have enough money for traveling, that’s why I enjoy this job so much. But everywhere I go in the world, I always want to come back to Hungary.
“ I think I’ll never get a Vogue cover, that type of magazines prefer girls with strange faces, not really classic beauties. But I really don’t mind it because the cosmetic campaigns rather work with me.” -Says Réka.
