(uk.movies.yahoo.com)Scarlett sings Tom Waits
Wed 18 Oct 12:30 PM
She's already dominated the silver screen - now Scarlett Johansson wants to win over the world of music.
The Black Dahlia star is the latest Hollywood A-lister (following Lindsay Lohan, Russell Crowe and Minnie Driver amongst others) to attempt a music career.
It's reported in The Sun that Scarlett, 21, is recording her debut album, titled Scarlett Sings Tom Waits.
Due out next [this] Spring the album of covers is said to showcase what insiders describe as her "whispery" voice, which is odd because Waits is famed for his gravely vocals.

Brace yourself! Yeah Yeah Yeahs are releasing a 5 track EP of previously unrecorded songs on 23rd July.
Is Is was recorded in a whirlwind one day in New York and features some of the bands favourite live tracks. The raw excitement of their live show was captured on film in front of an all female audience at Glasslands Gallery in Brooklyn.
This will be posted online in the coming weeks so keep an eye out for more mailers featuring exciting info.
The EP will be available on fabulous double gatefold 7" vinyl, digipack CD, single track download and digital bundle.
This week's issue of NME will feature an exclusive interview with Karen and Nick.
it's really great too

Huzzah!!!
What's this, hidden amidst the branches of Goldfrapp's Seventh Tree? Why, good golly, it's a tracklist! Let's add it to our collection of details surrounding the release of Goldfrapp's fourth long-player, shall we?
Now our collection has a label (Mute), a couple release dates (February 25 in the UK and February 26 in the U.S.), a lovely new press photo (that's it over there), and these here song titles (reprinted below). Pretty much all we need now is, like, the music!
And perhaps a tour? No word there quite yet, but Mr. Gregory is still doing his silent film soundtrack thing in December. Ruminate on those dates-- and these evocative new song titles-- below for now.
Seventh Tree:
01 Clowns
02 Little Bird
03 Happiness
04 Road to Somewhere
05 Eat Yourself
06 Some People
07 A&E
08 Cologne Cerrone Houdini
09 Caravan Girl
10 Monster Love
