Remedy For Shopaholics?

If I go to a store and see something but know I "shouldn't" be buying anything, I wait a day or two and if I still want it I'll go back and get it. I do a lot of impulse and this seems to curb it somewhat. Although.......I'm not sure if I want to be cured.

I do that too. Have managed to reduce the number of impulse buys, although some say that impulse buys are usually the best ones.

I never wait for a day, because when I do, it will be gone the next day!!!

What works for me is to avoid all stores. When i do get in I know I will be lost.

And why is it when you have the money, there are no nice clothes, and when you don't have the money, you always see your dream item???

I pretend-shop online whenever I feel the urge to buy something new. I fill up my shopping cart with anything and everything I want, regardless of price. When I proceed to check out and see the total amount (which is usually in the $2000+ range) I just close my browser and feel damn good that I didn't spend all that money. It's actually quite satisfying . . . or maybe I'm just a freak :woot:

I would cry! That is pure torture!!!

^ MAybe...but it works for me....

Best thing to do is to cancel all your credit cards really...
