Rest In Power. He'll live forever in my fashion week memories, his presence was one of a kind at the shows.

What a loss. 2022 already isn't looking too bright... Rest in peace, ALT! And may his legacy forever live on... there will never be another Andre Leon Talley  I always considered him a walking encyclopedia of sorts, with his all-encompassing knowledge of the industry; it's moments like these where you realize how privileged you were to have been graced with such a presence.

Oh God, RIP ALT!! What a life.
And I still feel like fashion hasn't been able to really benefit from his greatness.

I hope he finally made peace internally and with everyone. May he rest in absolute peace !

Truly shocking news to wake up to. Such a great loss, he really was one of a kind and, for me personally, one of the only men whose wardrobes I ever envied. Eternally fabulous, may he rest in peace.

May he Rest in Peace! This is so shocking, somehow it always felt like he'd be around forever. I always enjoyed his larger-than-life presence but thought he was a little silly, until pretty recently when I decided to actually look into him a bit more. Watched "The Gospel According to Andre" and read "A.L.T.: A Memoir". What a legend, what a trailblazer. His incredible knowledge of fashion and love of beauty is needed today and I'm happy that after he left Vogue he was teaching (among other things) and imparting some of that knowledge of, love for, and experience in fashion to a new generation.

RIP. All I know is that when he was still there I read vogue. Now I don't even bother to pick it up. A terrible loss...

Shocking. I had just randomly uttered the word ‘Dreckitude’ to myself in the car, and an hour later I see this. Rest easy Andre!

Sad, indeed. To me, he was always one of the more memorable and likable figures in the industry. Even when he was booked on these corny TV shows, like ANTM, he was always a joy to watch. And his books certainly made for great reading, even if fashion fairy-tales aren't really your thing. He seemed like somebody who was incredibly smart, and a whole lot of fun to be around...(fun...does that word come to mind when thinking about his former boss? Probably not.) May he rest in power, indeed.

A famine of beauty indeed. May he now rest in power and in peace.

ALT was a legend definitely.
He was one of the first big personality that strucked me as a young girl and then as a teenager working in the industry. There was always a real energy in the studio when he came to the Maison I worked for…

He was a pioneer, a one of a kind. He will be remembered as the First one, his personality and his love of fashion. He represents an era of fashion, long gone, that we all cherish.

I think it’s a pity that his last few years on earth have been about resentment and pettiness. Despite how controversial his figure, his place in the industry and overall what his persona represented in fashion, he has made a mark in the industry.

It’s really rare for people to be able to live the life they always wanted to live. And he did! He had a full life!

I hope where he is today, he has finally made piece with his dear friend Karl…
