A chance to tell everyone about those lesser known actors and actresses who you love to watch. For example, I'm amazed/frustrated that Tom Hardy is only now getting recognition when I've been following his career for the last ten years so lets get some other names out there.

David Leon, currently starring in ITV's Vera

Max Brown, played Edward Seymour in The Tudors, last seen in Spooks on BBC

Tom Hiddleston, currently in Thor, next seen in War Horse

John Gallagher Jr, known for Spring Awakening & American Idiot on Broadway, currently starring in Jerusalem. Has been in The West Wing,Whatever Works & Jonah Hex

Benjamin Walker, probably best known for Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson on Broadway, currently filming Abraham Lincoln; Vampire Hunter. Also engaged to Mamie Gummer.

Ezra Miller. He's only 18 and has an impressive resume behind him.
He's well known for playing Damien on Californication and he recently got a lot of buzz in Cannes for his role as Kevin in "We Need to Talk About Kevin."
He's currently filming "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" in Pittsburgh, in which he will play a homosexual teenager.

Armie Hammer. He's only 24 years old, but got his big break last year in David Fincher's The Social Network.
He's also had guest roles on Desperate Housewives and Gossip Girl.
Armie's upcoming roles include: The Brothers Grimm: Snow White with Julia Roberts, J. Edgar with Leonardo DiCaprio,
and he was recently cast to star opposite Johnny Depp in The Lone Ranger.

Anthony Mackie. Best known for his role in The Hurt Locker in 2008, he's starting to get a lot of attention now and has 8 movies coming out in the next three years (including Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, Real Steel, and World War Z).

I think Armie Hammer is going to be an interesting one. He has a real air of old school about him, which is probably why they've gone with him for Lone Ranger. I saw Anthony Mackie on Broadway in A Behanding in Spokane with Sam Rockwell & Christopher Walken and he really held his own, I was impressed.

This thread needs some female love. :D

Sarah Bolger. She played Princess Mary on The Tudors and now has been steadily gaining attention. She has a four films coming out in 2012.

I will always have a soft spot for Jonathan Tucker, I always find it nice to see him in films. He has been around for a while, so I'm not sure if one can call him rising, but he has never really broken through.

He was the narrator and one of the neighborhood boys 'the Virgin Suicides' and recently did a small but very well acted part in 'the Next Three Days'

^I like him. Sometimes I get him confused for Anton Yelchin.

Tessa Thompson. She's been acting since 2005 and has had roles on TV shows like Veronica Mars and Grey's Anatomy.
She recently starred in "For Colored Girls" and has 3 films due out this year.

Agreed about Armie...his career has moved at a record pace and he has impeccable manners from that old money upbringing. Listening to him talk is a pleasure.

The only weirdness is that he got married so young. It's interesting...

I should probably refer to this as my Spring Awakening alumni post!

Iwan Rheon, known for Misfits, has several projects in the pipeline including Resistence with Michael Sheen and Andrea Riseborough.

Aneurin Barnard, until now, probably totally unknown besides a small part in Ironclad. has a bucket load in post-production, including We'll Take Manhattan where he plays David Bailey.

Both the boys were in the sadly, short lived London production of Spring Awakening and won Best Supporting actor and best actor Olivier's respectively.

Few clips of the boys in Spring Awakening, I don't know whether the Misfits fans we aware of Iwan's singing voice. these really are worth watching.

sorry about the tag on this

Armie Hammer really needs his own thread:D he's hot & showing up in mags & red carpets & if i was more tech savvy i'd do it myself lol

I do think Armie Hammer is going to have a great career, J Edgar should be interesting, at the moment he's looking more interesting in it than Leo.

My 'Lost in Austen' boys. All fabulous, all handsome and all ridiculously talented. I'm by no means biased! :innocent:

Tom Mison, currently seen in One Day & Salmon Fishing in the Yemen

Elliot Cowan, soon to be seen in Sky's Sinbad

Tom Riley, last seen in ITVs Monroe, making waves on stage both sides of the Atlantic, recently starred with Billy Crudup in Arcadia on Broadway.

Lost In Austen is a great movie. Love it. All of those guys are hawt, especially Elliot. :brows:
Hopefully they'll get more notice for their work.

Love the guys from Lost in Austen! And I didn't know that Iwan Rheon could sing!

Jeremy Irvine

I think he's someone to watch because of his role in Steven Spielberg's War Horse. It's a role that could make him quite well known I think. And he's only done one other role before (for Disney Channel in the UK... which actually sounds bad but hey everyone's gotta start somewhere, right?). He has two other films being released in 2012 as well.

I've been totally dumb in forgetting to post this for weeks, but I know a lot of you are Lost in Austen fans so I thought I'd share this of the Tom's (Mison & Riley) aka Bingley and Wickham in karaoke mode.

Russell Tovey. Famous for Being Human, Him & Her and History Boys. Next to be seen in Sherlock Holmes; The Hounds of Baskerville (BBC), Effie and on stage in Sex With A Stranger. He's also a really lovely bloke!
