same sentiments i feel for the earlier images....just lovely

all i keep noticing are major hedi slimine influences...

i do like a few pieces, but i liked his last fall collection even more. this doesnt seem spring to me.

I really don't see what's so Slimane about what Robert does (the comparison gets even more so absurd when taken into consideration that people also name Rad Hourani as particularly Slimane-influenced... a fellow of completely opposite aesthetics as Geller's). Yes, there are waistcoats and pants in slim proportions, but it's not that Hedi totally owns that look - especially given that Robert's fabrics are anything but clean and slick... it's a lot more soft around the edges with the washed fabrics and crinkled textures... and even more so the romantic, nostalgic undertone of the styling and photography! if at all, you could say there are certain similarities to certain Belgian designers - Ann Demeulemeester or Dries Van Noten... but I see his style as absolutely his' and nobody else's.

^I really second that. There is a certain neo-romanticism in his work that similar to Ann D, rather than Hedi Slimane

^third! i completely concur with what you say tricot. there is something in the romanticism and volumes and of course textures that definitely seems distinctly different. for me,its the same when everybody compared cloak with dior homme(which imho,if true,i don't think i ever would have connected with cloak at all).....maybe i was blind, but i never saw that equation at all. yes there was tailoring....it was darkly....but there was so much more layers to it.
