Robert Normand F/W 04/05 French designer

 i am only more confused now! i had the link bookmarked, i even think i got it from one of scott's post!!! now i did try to access it from their home page and couldn't find it either?
maybe they leave the older stuff up and just don't list it anymore but it's absurd indeed.

Yes, since Scott said Robert Normand left Pressing not too long ago, perhaps they just haven't gotten around to taking it down yet...or maybe they never will. Hm.

thanks cerfas...like space...i feel like i've seen some of this before but can't remember where...

i don't think any of it's redundant...same pieces but different pics...shows a different perspective...which is always helpful...:flower:

i like the general aesthetic here...though i would probably style it a bit differently...
i like the 'french-ness' of it...^_^

Does anyone know where Normand sells his collections? I've looked around and I can't find any info

In Japan his stuff is carried at "Desperado" and on-line at Rakuten. Only ones I know of. I'm sure there's some other's.

cerfas,I did find out where he's at now....Public Image.

^ Thanks Scott :flower: :flower: I went to Rakuten and everything I liked was on sale but only in XS. Anyway I barely understand that site so I think it would be crazy to try and order anything . I really wish I had found out about Robert Normand sooner...

A few pics from Rakuten:

Scott,

How long has Robert been around? Would you say he's a new designer? How old is he?

You know,I don't really know Metal. I discovered his interview on d-i-r-t-y a while back(after hearing about him through Disciple's coverage last year) then found out Pressing represented him. There's absolutely nothing to be found regarding his CV or bio anywhere,he's such a rising talent. So I have no clue what school he attended or whom he had work placements with.

But I suppose one could venture to assume that he's been around for a while yet one that's come up very quietly and slowly.

You're welcome Lux. Yeah, those pieces are wonderful...

The brilliant thing I guess about Robert is that his pieces are quite simple and quirky....and he still remains rather quiet so you don't get this sense of pretense in his work. I agree though that we've seen this style before but it's something that hasn't really been overdone.

Thanks, Scott.

Know anything about them? Other than the fact that they like Morrissey

Well,it's nothing like the kind of talent that Pressing or Cristofoli boasters. They also rep Leflsh and Sybilla.

Oh,in regards to other PR,there's another good one from Isabelle Roque. She reps Catherine Giacomini,Matthias De Vogel,Ann Huybens,Carrie Rossman. The odd thing is that she also reps Carolina Herrera  Strange mix..

Scott, thanks for the information.
I've never heard of any of the people you mentioned as represented by Isabelle Roque (except Carolina Herrera, eek). I will have to look them up.

Hey,thanks anaisanais!

I just remembered that Gigantic in New York carries his work too....and I had a feeling Shine in Paris did as well.

Tremendous appreciation from Japan though. Not surprising of course

Yay! Thanks for the info anaisanais!! You're an angel :flower:

Luxmode, I've just now seen the photographs you posted! Beautiful, thank you

If anyone speaks Japanese or at least understands Rakuten, could you help me out? I'd love to buy a Normand piece or two, and XS is my size.

Also, does anyone have the contact information for Robert Normand, or the agency that represents him? It doesn't seem that they have a website, although I've only done a brief preliminary search.

<3

Cerfas,I think Rakuten's got contact info on there....could enquire to them that way? Dunno how helpful they'll be...or even if they would ship internationally?
