It doesn't have the magic it usually has, but the pieces/looks I like outnumber the ones I don't.

The shoulders are the only thing I cannot stand, they kind of go beyond the point of playful experimentation into full on parody.

Most of these look unfinished and unflattering. I think she has some really great uses of color but the styles are all wrong.

I absoloutely adore this,much better then her previous collections.The shoulders are Brilliant and i love the understated beaty of it all,also great shoes.I would wear this,almost all of it.

very disappointing. it's only the simplest outfits/dresses that I like at all... the ones that could be by any number of designers really.

The short yellow, satin jacket with puff sleeves I find gorgeous, but I kind of hate the rest... A few dresses look like they might fall apart at any moment, being too weighted-down in areas.

^^I see what you're saying. And a couple look as if they were sewn on with the models in them--the last one in post#2 and the fourth one i post#5.

This is just harsh, those oversized jackets are really ugly. And theres a few dresses which look like they've just been stuck on really quickly on anything.

While I'm glad she's grown as tired as some of us of the big pastel frills, what's left is nothing more than a sloppily sewn Marchesa collection.

...a really uneven collection...some of the grey satin pieces are gorgeous (esp the grey cinched blazer with the straight tube skirt) and some of the long dresses...I'm not feeling the rest, some of the fabric usage are rather garish, some off-proportion...def a disappointment since she's very talented.

I like the idea of using bright yellow again but I really don't like the shapes they've chosen for their collection

I dont think its all that bad, I've always found Ilincic's work of a slightly underfinished quality, but I do like it generally. I really wouldn't go so far as Marchessa!

I would have just stuck playing with the volume of the 50s skirt. It seems awkward.

I can see the architectural background. You'd need a crane to put on those stadium shoulders and scaffolding just to hold them up. That sort of prank just brings the rest down really.
