It’s definitely endearingly salvageable. I see where his heart is.
If I’m feeling generous, I see the rich rich rich eccentric whom possesses a moment of Faith Connexion/Gianni’s Versace gaudiness in all the glittering ragtag pieces. And in the next moment, is in a mood for classic lady-like Dior New Look couture. There’s a certain charm in the strongest pieces that’s in line with sustainability in all the rich Mad-Hatter’s recycled patchwork— and also very traditionally couture-y in their production: It doesn’t look cheap overall ( just a tad too tacky..). Clownish— yes, unfortunately (and even more unfortunate for the model that has to wear the silliest flagpole/IKEA table leg monstrosity…) This collection feels the most earnest and honest— and designed to be worn by a clientele, of all Couture collections so far.
(If the silly tween clown makeup-challenge looks was done away with and replaced by a clean, fresh face, the collection would already look a lot better.)
