Ronald van der Kemp Haute Couture F/W 2022.23 Paris

He’s become this absolutely delightful, fantastical, Alice-in-wonderful-land Rumpelstiltskin maestro of a dreamweaver— literally weaving scraps into gold standards of Haute Couture. He’s keeping the flame of Saint Laurent/Gaultier/Lacroix alive and beyond with his insanely skilled execution of design: Each piece, each looks is such treasure-chest of masterclass in Couture history and reference. Each look already, always feels like it was made for a specific clientele, her individual personality and unique attitude, and still so cohesive as a presentation And not a gimmick in sight like Daniel’s lesser Schiaparelli, or tired same old same old Cirque du Soleil of van Harpen, and the dour, depressing outlet-mall Couture of Virginie’s Chanel.

there are some really good looks and some are a little ‘costumey’ and some are a little messy.
