McGowan even managed to pull off a Sergio Rossi stiletto on her good foot. "I put padding under the cast and now it's the same height as the heel," she explained. "I refuse to wear flats [in Cannes]!"

THE SKINNY: SIN CITY director Robert Rodriguez has sent his prison series WOMEN IN CHAINS! to a number of networks.

Rose McGowan, who worked with Rodriguez on PLANET TERROR, is set to play one of five chained women in the violent drama. Not surprisingly, as Rodriguez is helming, CHAINS! is rumored to be fashioned with a 1970s exploitation sensibility.
Chains are gearing up to be the hot accessory this season: HBO has recently signed on to do an American version of the British female prison drama BAD GIRLS with Alan Ball, Nancy Oliver and Raelle Tucker.
