Runway Model Showlists - HC S/S 08, RTW F/W 08.09, Cruise 09

Some of the top shows don't give you that much. Rag&Bone attracted some of the biggest models and I'm sure it wasn't just through the clothes. Either way, be happy she has done one show and looked good in it.

I think what knightley is trying to say is, big name doesn't necessarily equal big money. For example, I've heard some of the biggest shows that a model can do in New York are payed with clothes, not money. So a model that has done these shows in the past will most likely pick and choose the ones that would be the most beneficial to their bank account.

Carolina Herrera rarely uses Americans, though. I mean her ad campaign was a Swede forever, then a Latvian, then her own daughter, and a Canadian. And I counted four Americans at the show.

Paid in clothes is BETTER than being paid in money because with money your agency takes a cut, whereupon clothes is something you can keep or take to a consignment store and make 100% profits.

Yeah. My mom gave me... not a multi-million dollar contract.

Some girls do not like the runway. It's nothing to be upset over. Hilary is still excelling in campaigns, she's still a popular and blue-chip model. And New York has never been the most lucrative. Milan is. Paris is blue chip runways, but the pay is crap.

AGAIN. Rag&Bone paid the girls VERY WELL. They had due compensation. Girls like Hilary can afford to be choosy. I doubt she is being cut from shows, but if she is? That is the why the cookie goes crumble. Inguna's been cut from shows (and shows this week!), but you don't see me in tears about it when the showlists come out and I'm like UGH SHE SHOULD'VE BEEN THERE.

I imagine Hilary will probably be at Kors tomorrow because Michael tends to like to flex his muscle and show he can get every top girl on his runway.

I know your pain. My girl is a strict one-show-a-day girl. IT WOUNDS MY HEART. From being everywhere SS06 to, like, this, ahhh. So I totally understand, but just remember! Girls will do what their agencies want them to do and by their own choice. I'm sure Hilary just likes taking it easy and doing the shows that she likes best and is paid the most to do!

I know if I was at her level I'd take it a LOT more in stride and walk for brands I liked and those which paid me the most to roll out of bed.

My favorite model now is Emanuela De Paula and she doesn't get used on runways that much, which pisses me off. Does anyone know why she doesn't get use?
