Sasa Kovacevic | the Fashion Spot

Sasa Kovacevic

^If anyone has more photos from this collection, please post them!
I was only able to find 3 on his profiles.. Not sure why:ermm:

I really like this very much..especially the first white piece!
The decorations are really interesting
I wonder how he gets the volume in the clothing like that, although the fabrics look light-weight. Makes me think there is a bit of ethnic influence

^the last one is part of the work he did with the Berlin label Fi-Fu...you can see the rest of that here(and check the others as well.....AMAZINIG stuff!)-

http://www.fi-fu.de/korina.htm?folder=korina

he has such a wonderful sense of craft and detail....and volume! + extraordinarily fantastique! i am still very excited about the prospects for him. he invited me because my project and one would have never expected what i was about to look at. as i said in the dragana thread,i hope with the help with iqons,he will be discovered and bring his work to paris or london cause i think his work has the strength to stand next to the likes of tisci or mcqueen.

If you go to his myspace, in the pics section you can maybe see a few of the kinds of things that inspire him. There's some of fashion coming from Tibet or western Asia/middle east in general, I think, a lot of this interesting beading and giant sculptural accessories

oh many thanks for the new stuff,gius....love that dress(or coat?)....

really, the quality of his talents is extraordinary....yet again, these pieces can stand tall and quite distinct next to anything mcqueen or westwood does.

and yeah, his influences are strongly steeped in ethnic costume.....but he also has an historical point of view as well that he mixes.....baroque being quite prominent...but he executes these ideas so well to me.
