Could you define what you mean by scissor cuts? ^_^

I do notice a lot of patchwork going on...

I know what he means, I think. Clothing that looks like it has been slashed into asymmetry. It's evocative of randomness, but nothing could be more carefully executed.
It does remind me of both cut-out paper dolls and De Stijl.

I think it's more the random cuts on the pieces, like the Oscar has cuts on the sleeve near the elbow, calvin has a cut in the middle

Great eye =)

I find that they look more like "cuts and folds" for a more armoured effect, esp the Proenza Schouler, or maybe "slash away" at Anne Sophie Back

^ I do too. There's something erotic about how it's done, like any part of the jacket can fly open at any minute.

That's exactly how I mean :)
I apologize for not being clearer, 'scissor cuts' was influenced by something someone said on an interview at Calvin Klein for Vogue

Love these.
The scissor cuts immediately give the outfits such an edge. It looks sharp.
I like how Calvin Klein and Proenza Schouler did theirs.

I want those jackets from Proenza Schouler. The material is very classic but the cuts make them look amazing.

gius, I am so smitten with what you posted...I didn't pick up on this but love the light-heartedness.

yes very

I was just about to post those but u beat me to it:p

The last Mario Schwab dress is a great random cut example - Like the Calvin Klein, it looks like someone took a normal garment and used scissors or a scalpel to cut out a feature - absolutely beautiful.
