(NEW YORK) Super Bowl or super fashion? Why choose? Shipley & Halmos will have their first presentation this evening at Drive-In Studios on West 18th Street, starting 16 minutes after Super Bowl kick-off--and they certainly don't want their guests to miss out on the fun. To celebrate in spirit, Bud--from a can, no less--will be served.

For this collection, ex-Trovata-ites Jeff Halmos and Sam Shipley were inspired by the legendary Alfred Hitchcock, particularly the way his female leads from the late '50s walked that fine line between sexuality and conservatism.

Also, the duo is launching Shipley & Halmos Things, a new line of men's-focused accessories that includes bags, wallets, belts, hats, and ties.

The show has yet to happen, but i thought i'd get the thread started with a little tidbit about the show/afterparty

Mcqueen did few seasons ago a collection called "The Man Who Knew Too Much" also inspired by Hitchcock's ladies.... will be very difficult to keep it up.

I never liked the untalented Trovata but lets hope for the best.

I hope this time they avoid striped GAP style jersey t-shirts and sweatshirts .

^^Yes it will be hard to follow that McQueen collection,but i love that Hitchock is their inspiration,it will be interesting to see how they see it.
