I DESPERATELY need the Chloe doc-esque boots (see attachment, credit: fashiontoast.com) in my life, but I've been searching foreveeer and can never find the particular cut/color/size I want. No knock-offs either. So I was wondering if I took shoes like these to a shoe repair/alteration place, would they be able to make them resemble the Chloes?

I was thinking that some material could be added in between the "arch" of the heel and I could replace the laces with more chunky ones, and they would look pretty close to the originals. Is this possible, I've never had any experience with shoe repairs/alterations, or am I thinking out of sheer, hopeless desperation?
