Shoes… there are so many styles. Some are practical, some are for special occasions, and some are works of art. Now is your chance to design your perfect pair, and enter a competition to be judged by a panel of designers including the internationally renowned shoe designer Professor Jimmy Choo OBE. The winners will have their design shown here on the website.

Inspiration for your design
To gain ideas for your shoe design from the V&A's collection, you could browseSearch the Collections . In the search box under 'all fields' type 'shoes' and then press 'search'.
You can save any image you need and then edit and arrange your design in a graphics programme. Images could be printed out and drawn on, or cut up to make a collage or montage then scanned back in. You could take sketches and draw or paint a design then scan the image. Combining sketches and drawings with computer graphics is a good way to create some unique images. Look at the image of the 'Industrial Gothic' shoe (above) as an example entry.
Competition closes 6 January 2008. Winning entries will appear on this website by 15 February 2008.
