Holding on to a high-profile Hollywood boyfriend is hard enough, but for Jude Law’s quirky gal pal Sienna Miller, holding on to a high-profile role has proved harder. Months after she won a plum part as tragic Warhol Superstar Edie Sedgwick in George Hickenlooper’s ballyhooed Factory Girl, the bohemian Brit was devastated to learn that she was being relieved of her duties. Producer Richard Galub had originally packaged the movie around Miller, telling friends that the starlet was born to play the speed-addled original “It” girl. But as Law’s star waned in the wake of back-to-back flops, and the couple’s relationship seemed to fizzle, sources say Galub’s ardor for the actress cooled as well. Pressed to explain Miller’s abrupt departure, Holly Wiersma, Galub’s coproducer, cited scheduling problems. “Sienna’s doing As You Like It in London, and there’s a conflict,” she said. “We went back and forth with her, but it didn’t work out.” Despite Miller’s dismissal, however, the flick is still on track, with a “well-known American actress” (whose identity Wiersma declined to disclose) set to replace Miller in the role. “Sienna’s a great girl, but we’ve found someone else who’s going to do a great job too,” Wiersma added brightly. Miller’s publicist confirms that the actress is returning to a theater gig in London but insists that Miller never officially signed on to the Edie movie.

Well, my interest in this movie just went down quite a few notched. I'm sure they'll replace her with someone totally subpar.

oh wow
i was kinda curious about her doing edie
but how suck to replace someone cos they're not it anymore

^ I know. That is the lamest excuse. And it's not as if they are not popular anymore. Sienna just made People's 50 Most Beautiful List (U.S. edition) They're still photographed constantly, and people are obviously quite interested in them and their lives.

So who now? That's the question.

Who the hell is Sienna Miller? I think it's even lamer (is that even a word?) that she got cast in this role because she was the momentary 'it' girl, whose claim to fame is, really, just dating some actor. If this girl had real talent, and if she reeeeeaally could have done this movie justice, I doubt she would have been dropped.

Katie Holmes? Why do I sense this has something to do with her being Tom Cruise' new fling? Because to be honest, her acting is sh*t.

Katie Holmes.............................what?!?
how the hell....
wtf?!?

she's worse!

This is disappointing. Even though I am not the biggest fan of Sienna, I was interested in seeing how she would do as Edie. But Katie Holmes? No no no....I will always see her as her character from Dawson's Creek.

i actually didn't see sienna in that role. i think edie was edgy, while sienna is more like a little flower.

i hope Winona Ryders the replacement. I can really see her playing it

Marvelous suggestion!

BOO for Katie Holmes, she just annoys me for some reason.

Sienna made some sense in the role. After all, Edie herself was an 'It' girl, with a second-rate acting career...

The Boz, Kate Bosworth, was rumoured to have tried out for the project.....maybe it's her? She's a generally well-known actress, very cute and good, I think.....

Yeah she is, but i think the shape of Bosworth's face is not at all alike to Edie's.. Kate has a much rounder face, bigger cheeks when she smiles, which i generally find cute on people... but no dimples! And a Edie's gotta have dimples no? ;)
I think physical resemblance can give alot of credibility to a biopic... although of course it is not the most important - the most important part is the acting and the story... to me at least.

i really wish they had searched far and wide and found some completely unknown girl , who really resembles Edie (because i don't find any of the well-known actresses really do) and who can act!
But doesn't look like they did, does it.

Oh well...

TokyoVogue, your signature/line 'Well I'd Love To Stay And Chat, But Your A Total b*tch' is wrong, it should be You're instead of Your.

^ That has nothing to do with this topic...you could've just PM'd her to tell her that dancingellecat.

On another note I agree with everyone who mentioned that Winona and Kate Bosworth could be good for the role..
