im buying a pair of boots online..and the shoe sizes are english instead of american, because it's an english store. i was just wondering if anyone knew what size i would be if im an american size 8, but i have pretty wide feet too. thanks for any help you can give me!

You mean a women's size 8? You'd probably be about a British size 5 or 5.5; the 5.5 might be safer for wide feet.

but on the website the sizes are like 25-40 or something. like its in double digits

In that case it's probably European sizing; do the women's shoes run from 36 to 41 (or so)? A US 8 is generally a European 38 or 38.5...but if you're still not sure about the kind of sizing they use, perhaps you'd be better off contacting the company directly and asking them to recommend you a size.
