Skye High Seventeen-year-old Skye Stracke, who shares her hometown of Perth with megamodel Gemma Ward, claims she has always wanted to be in the fashion industry. But when the former aspiring makeup artist nabbed top honors at a local modeling contest three years ago, she had no idea that her close-to-home debut would lead to star turns at such major-league international shows as Chanel and D&G this past February. "Lanvin was especially amazing," she says. "Alber [Elbaz, the label's head designer] gave us all a pep talk before we went out. The energy was great!" Now settled into her new Brooklyn digs alongside fellow model Mackenzie Hamilton, Skye has shot editorials for the likes of American and Russian Vogue and recently snagged a spot in Lacoste's fall campaign. "It's an all-hours job," she admits of her jam-packed schedule, "but I'm doing something I truly love. I definitely can't complain about it."
