I get the impression Sofia and Scarlett didn't get along well Am I the only one?

i don't know, that's what some rumours say. but i read an interview some years ago of Scarlett and she said she wished she had kept contact with Sofia, so who knows.

I got that vibe from the Lost in Translation behind the scenes documentary. Sofia is all over Bill Murray and looks quite cold with Scarlett (who we hardly see). And when Sofia and Bill got Gold Globes for LiT, they didn't thank her in their speeches. When this was mentioned to Scarlett in an interview in a French magazine, she just shrugged and rolled her eyes.
If my impression is correct, it's too bad because Lost is the movie where Scarlett looked the best IMO, along with Match Point.

this is what Scarlett said about Sofia and her not getting along:

"That's not true at all. Sofia was lovely. She was accepting for screenwriting, and Bill basically wrote a lot of it. Sofia came up to me afterward and said, 'Oh, I'm such an ***, I forgot!' I was like, 'It's OK; it doesn't bother me.' If she was accepting for directing, then it probably would have bothered me. But, um, it didn't."

i guess you can't believe all the rumours.

^ I quoted from a serious film mag, but anyway we'll probably never know for sure. Obviously they're not friends because they haven't stayed in touch and if they didn't get along, it wouldn't be in their best interest to say so.
