Sofia was quite daring when she was younger. I always think of her as sophisticated in that New Yorker living in Paris kind of way that magazines like to describe.

" Sofia and Milk Fed…

Going back to those old W magazines…I found this story on Sofia Coppola…it was December 1994…she had just launched her Milk Fed line, I think she completely captured L.A. from back then, the way X-girl was doing in New York at the time……much like her films do today, she has the magic to inspire….the collection might have been just a few simple shapes but it represented more than that…it had an energy and fun….I remember seeing them in windows of Bloomingdale’s on 5th avenue and couldn’t look away…I ended up with a t-shirt with an old 1950′s photo of Coco Chanel printed on it….I really can’t wait for her new movie to come out eventually, Somewhere, which will be dedicated to L.A.’s Chateau Marmont…which is where this shoot took place,…{apologies for fuzzy scan, W used to be a little bigger and wider than it is now…} "

Loving all the older pics, but the one of Sofia and Thomas first in post #844 is way toooo adorable!!

Sometimes it looks like she had the tip of her nose narrowed, but in other photos it doesn't. Not that it really matters, but does anyone know?
