Sofia Coppola to Star in Marc Jacobs' Daisy Ad

Who does Marc Jacobs turn to when he needs a TV commercial? His friend Sofia Coppola. WWD has learned that Coppola is joining forces with Jacobs for a TV ad campaign for Daisy, one of the designer's best-selling fragrances. Timing and further details were not available at presstime.

FrenchCactus, do you know if she'll "Star" in the ad or "Direct" it? I ask only because the little quote you've posted is unclear. I could see her directing one of the Fanning girls, for example, as I think one of them was in the mag-ad campaign for that fragrance. And of course Sofia has directed Elle before in Somewhere.

She looks pretty on the DuMonde cover.

^ WWD meant that she would be starring in it but I read a tweet today saying it was a misunderstanding and that she would be directing, not starring in the ad.

^ Yes but probably not forever. Marc is leaving Louis Vuitton on good terms. His own company is still under LVMH so it's all good.
