Sofia's brother Gian Carlo was accidently killed by Ryan O neal's son Griffin in a speedboat accident. Gio's girlfriend Jaqueline De la fontaine ( Now she has married into the illustrous Getty Family ) was pregnant at the time and had a daughter Gian Carla Coppola Getty who is in The Godfather amongst other Coppola films and Wax By California Directed by Ex Husband Spike Jonze.

So Gia Coppola's full name is Gian Carla Coppola Getty? (For people who don't know, Gia Coppola is Sofia's niece.)

I know I'm getting kinda detail-oriented here, but are you saying that Getty is her LEGAL last name now? (And she just goes by Gia Coppola in the media?...cos she's always listed as Gia Coppola in Teen Vogue.)

That would be kind of weird...I mean good for her, but I somehow didn't think she was the kind to settle down.Maybe it's just because to me she does not seem like the motherly kind...Which is a stupid stereotophy, I know, but I'd be really surprised if this is true.I have a feeling that's just a rumour.

maybe, but at the same time, she is like 34, so maybe she wants a baby now, it would be a good time-- she just finished Marie Antoinette, so she could take a little break.

but like you said, maybe she's not the type to settle down, she seems to have so many projects. id be very happy for her though.

yes, i think it seems very convenient as well since MA will be out-- she has a little break, and now is a good time. the girl has it (or WILL have) it all: the great career, the style, the love, the family...
