Song Hye-kyo

I thought she was a singer??? Anyway, she's soooo beautiful!!! I could look at her all day! I especially like her travel pics! Thanks for all the pics!!!

thast just it.. i find that by the asian standards.. to look beautiful..is to look or have more of the "western" feature.

I dont mean that its my standards..but i find thats how the media protrays it..and this can also be seen in the plastic surgery trends in asia as well as cosmetics. THe girl has to have big eyes w/ eyelids.. nose that's more "western"... lighter skin.

Majority of the asians that do plastic surgery is on their eyelids..and on their nose. Whitening creams r BIG in asia.

I think beauty in beyond any standarts. When the person has well proportioned face, its obvious (like Song Hye Kyo does).

Talking again from my Euro/White perspective I can say that I like single eyelids on Asian people. Ive seen many Asian men with single eyelids that Ive found handsome and attractive.
However, beauty is something more than just having a big eyes, double eyelids etc.

thank you for the response Galini. i was just curious because i have heard a lot of people say things like, "she's pretty for an asian" and i always thought of it as a backhanded compliment in a way.

Ive also heard that in US you cannot say that the person look Asian (or African), like there`s something wrong with being one:blink:
People are truly getting insane with their standarts - White means Beautiful, so if you want to tell a compliment you have to say it like this: "She`s pretty even by a Western standarts" :yuk:

People with the brain washed minds are starting to forget that beauty is universal.

I cannot stop looking at her pictures:lol: Beautiful girl! I wish she could replace Keira Knightley(:yuk:) in the new Chanel ads. Song would be perfect for it.

Some still:

people people people!!!!
can we stop stumbling on the whole "all non-white people try to look 'more white' by doing surgery and whitening cream and all that kinda junk" concept???
im against anyform of surgery but i dont like serving the "white superior" fantasies and our body should never become are racial identity!!!!
can we please just look at this type of topic more logically, please???
there is no such thing as "biological race"!!!!

I'm not a fan of what she is wearing at the Pusan Int Film Festival, but guh that face! She is undeniably beautiful! She looks so sweet and gorgeous. Thanks for the pics!

Wanting to have pure white skin has long been something women strived for, wayyyyy before the west became dominant. Many East Asians are born with naturally white skin, so it wasn't as if Asian people suddenly got the idea that having white skin would be akin to being more like a Caucasian. I personally think that in places like China, where there is a greater diversity in terms of physical appearances, having a tall nose, double-eyelids, etc. don't seem to be such a huge deal in terms of being known as a beauty. Whereas in countries like Korea and Japan, where looks are more homogenous (small country, long history of inbreeding), the beautiful ones are those who don't have the typical characteristics shared by the rest of the population.

I'm just speaking from personal opinion though, but I find that when westerners (caucasians) judge an Asian girl, they don't really see the flat nose or the single-lidded eyes. It's like they're a lot more lenient because they are so used to having the double lidded eyes and prominent noses themselves. They just don't think it's a big deal, and the asian features are not seen as flaws at all. In fact, sometimes the girls are actually more beautiful because of them.

i had a friend who ..really liked this guy..but he would only toy w/ her.. and refused to date her...b/c she was asian.

Wow, from these pictures, I didn't realize at first that she was the lead actress of Full House (w/Bi!!) Her personal style seems more refined instead of the cutesy character from the drama. Aja aja...fighting!

yaa.. i think song hye kyo is prettier than ziyi too....nicer features. I find ziyi cuter..but song hye kyo's more beautiful...does that make sense?

I agree with what you're saying here.I find asian people beautiful (more beautiful than caucasians imo) exactly because of their different feautures.
I do think however that due to the western "culture" dominating most parts of the world the current ideal of beauty is the caucasian face.I find this fact very sad to be honest.

Speaking of Song Hye Kyo, she's a very pretty girl indeed and I love the hat she's wearing
