Spiegel?

I received a Spiegel's catalog recently and though most of what they have to offer don't appeal to me, there were a few pieces that looked good: pencil skirts and wide legged pants = work clothes.

Before I take my chance and place an order, does anyone know what the quality is like? I normally buy Theory, Ann Taylor, BCBG, Michael Kores a Euro brand, or any other mid level brand I can get my hands on on sale at Bloomingdale's or Loehman's, local boutique, consignment stores, etc and the quality of everything I buy has been great.

How would Spiegel's compare to something purchased at a higher end store or brand? Would you compare the quality as something purchased from F21? I dont have a lot of disposable income, but I vowed never to buy disposable clothes again. At least if I dont want to wear them or if I CANT wear them, I can at least give it away instead of going to the trash heap--so I don't want to make a mistake if Spiegel is crap.

My mother has purchased a few items here and there from Spiegal. The quality is definitely higher than Forever 21, and I'd go ahead and say it's mid-high quality. Then again, I'm pleased easily.

i think the quality is like something you might buy at target...
not very good...

def lower than anything like theory or ann taylor and the like...
the fabrics are usually synthetic and the fit isn't nearly as good as the labels you have described...

the only thing i think is good to buy there is the norma kamali collection...
the prices of that are out of this world and the basic pieces are very versatile...
they are a steal...

Sure, I can order and always send back, but if the quality isnt good, then I wont bother. I tend to wear my clothes until its falling apart so I want to get more than a few wears and one washing out of it!

Maybe it's just me, but I think the quality is much higher than Target. Of course the fit of the pieces isn't going to be as nice as other brands, but that's what you have to expect for the price. Like I said, though, that's just my opinion.

Has anyone else had issues with very slow shipping or horrible customer service at Spiegel? I ordered something a week ago that I need for this coming weekend. According to UPS, the package hasn't been shipped yet and nobody at Spiegel's customer service will get back to me!
