St Tropez

I live on a very hot Mediterranean island.
I spend most of life staying out of the sun,
its very bad for your skin as the pictures above prove.
yes we all look very nice with a tan, but trust me it
will catch you later.

I go to school in Hawaii so I try to stay protected when I'm not there (like summer). So people worship the sun in the summer but I hide from it. Some self-tanners I like are:

Aveda Sun Source & MaryKay Sunless Tanner. These products are comparable in quality but the MK one is cheaper. Make sure you wash your hands thoroughly after applying any self-tanner!

All i can suggest for tanning in the sun is sunbathing with the best sun lotion for your skin! I need a really high factor one because i'm so fair, and stupidly i stayed out in the sun with none on a few days ago and my shoulders definetly paid for it! Otherwise go with some of the suggestions posted above, i prefer just using bronzers for my face and just self tans for my body! Theres one by johnson, that gradually builds up like a tan, i'm using that at the moment and i love it!

this week i finally learned that i will never be tan. i just sunburn. and almost every self tanner i try i usually mess it up or it just looks so fake. i have a really rosey and white skin. ive been putting sunscreen on everyday rain or shine for the past year and my skin seems so healthy and such. embrace your untanned skin. some people look good tan, and others dont.

alright so I have heard so many wonderful things about this as a self tanner and have a few questions

-) where do you buy it? Is it available in Canada? If so where?
-) what is your 'applying' regime?
-) how long does it last, how often do you re apply?
-) what do you do about your face?

ok my questions were answered with the merge (thank you!) but one quick question

how do people like paris hilton and nicole richie (even though she is naturally tan) get such incredible color?

Ahhh - I'm a St. Tropez worshipper...
and I love Hoola by Benefit as a bronzer (with a very light touch application with a good powder brush)

im not sure about paris, but i read somewhere that nicole is obsessed with tanning. so she uses both a tanning bed and a mystic tan. and for special events, im pretty sure that she uses a bronzer as well.
