Have you ever met a star/celebrity? Tell us about it! Were they what you expected? Better/worse?

I met Eddie Cibrian a couple of years ago.....he used to be on a soap opera, and then on Third Watch:

He was friendly enough, but came across as a womanizer

I have met Scarlett Johansson and Julie Andrews.. they were both very friendly and comely.. with both it was mostly me telling them I really loved their movies and such and them saying thank you.

i met ashlee simpson and her ex-boyfriend josh henderson before she became all famous.
i saw paris hilton at a local mall when she was there signing autographs promoting her new perfume last month.

...obviously i haven't met many celebrities worth meeting.

i also met a few korean celebrities before but i don't think many people here know of them.

I actually met Keanu Reeves at an airport on a flight headed for London. We started talking and even though I've always had the BIGGEST crush on him, I didn't realize that it was him till about half way through the conversation. He seemed really nice, he just looked...different.

Hello everyone! Newbie here. I have been lurking for awhile... but feel I can add to this thread. Here goes.
-my best friends parents rented out their house to Justin Timberlake while he was in town about a year and a half ago to film "Enigma". He had a party at their house one night and the whole street was blocked off by police. I'm embarassed to say that we tried to attend - it didn't work out so well. Days later we saw him and Cameron get into a black SUV.
-a girlfriend of mine from elementary school moved away to Europe but came back years later to stay for a month in a hotel downtown. During my various visits to her I met Adam Sandler (very nice), Kurt and Goldie (also nice). Alec Baldwin (got us kicked out of the exercise room-long story) and Giovanni Ribissi (lovely but stunk to high heaven!)
-my boyfriend works on movies here in Vancouver, and through him I've met Ben Afleck (so fantastic, he even introduced me to his Mom), Wil Smith (took us on a tour of his trailor, it's amazing to say the least), Jessica Alba (not so nice) and Ryan Phillipe (kinda stand-offish)
-another friend of mine's father is the manager of an 80's band called "Lover Boy". I have met the lead singer many times. He is quite funny-apparently he used to wear red leather pants. Ha ha!
-I have been at restaurants and sat at tables near Ben and Jen (in Whistler, and believe me I couldn't stop staring-such a beautiful couple) and Jean Claude Van Damme (who was with a demanding woman with the body of a 20 year old but the face of someone much, much older)
-I was at a club one night and Cuba Gooding Jr. kinda, sorta, hit on one of my friends.
-Saw Back Street Boys at the airport and Cindy Crawford at my local grocery store (about 10 employees tried to help her carry two bags while my little brother stared with his jaw open).
-another friend of mine's boyfriend also works in film and she has met many people. I think the best one being Antonio Sabato Jr. because her voice squeeked when she said "hello"!
-A family member of mine spent the summer touring with Matt Good ( this only means something to other Canadian TFS members).
- I have also met many Canuk players, although I'm sure quite a few Vancouverites have also met them.
I apologize if I sound like a name dropper, I don't mean too but this thread is too much fun. I love it>

Other celebs I've seen, but not actually spoken to (starstruck I guess ) are:

- Danny Masterson (from "that 70s show") - he was at the Toronto Airport waiting for someone, when I was there waiting for my boyfriend...noone noticed it was him, except for me a young boy about 10 years old, who freaked out
- Helena Christensen shopping on Queen St. (Toronto) - VERY STYLISH!!
- Naomi Campbell, also shopping in Toronto
- Nelly Furtado at a Portuguese party - that girl can talk..and talk...and talk..
- hummmm, that's all I can remember for now......


Oh yeah!!! Remember Carleton from Fresh Prince of Bellair?? I saw him at a club - he didn't do the famous Carleton dance though

When I was 18 I danced with Keanu Reeves at a club while he was smoking a joint and when I was getting my lunch a year ago I was standing next to Stephen Dorff and I went to a movie premire and I was standing next to Steven Siegal while I was talking to Lizzie Grubman and kept me by her side b/c she said he was a scumbag.

From what I remember, Amy Grant is the only person I've ever had contact with. I worked at a hotel in Iowa last year, and she said hi to me. I don't really know much of her Christian music stuff - or any of it, for that matter - but I remember her early 90's tunes. She's extremely pretty, and very nice.

My roomie has seen Oprah a few times. Alisa (my roommate) used to work at a country club in downtown Chicago, and Oprah was always in and out. Not very nice, from what I hear. She says a lot of that staff used to b*tch about Oprah.

Alisa also saw David Schwimmer - he's a little stand-offish, likes to keep to himself. I remember him saying he thinks fame is stupid sometimes. K, whatever.

OMG u poor poor thing... was he like surrounded with his whole crew of body guards and did he at least have the decency to cover his face wif those SM looking masks that he wears over his nose and mouth sometimes? Also, how whtie was his skin... was it like surgery lights type white

Ha!! I've met Carlton, too. I waited on him twice at the hotel restaurant I worked at. I also waited on Will Smith there. They were both very nice and Alfonso (Carlton) remembered me the second time, so, OF COURSE, I loved him!!

Others I met/saw at the restaurant -

- The lead singer of Fine Young Cannibals (first celeb sighting ever)
- Tia Carrere - beautiful, but kind of annoying.
- Kristy Yamaguchi, Scott Hamilton, and Dorothy Hammill. All there for Disney on Ice
- Woody Harrellson - nearly dropped a tray full of food on him - embarrassing
- Joe Torry (the second host of Def Comedy Jam after Martin, not the coach) Joe was SUCH a jerk!
- AJ from General Hospital - wanna be womanizer
- Randy Savage (snap into a slim jim dude) - actually very nice, but slightly scary. Not as scary as his wrestling fans, though!

- Macy Gray/Teri Garr - Charlotte airport
- Elsa Benitez - Gucci, 5th Avenue
