I'm not exactly clear on who the target StyleMint customer is, but I know that I am not at all attracted to these designs. None of the cuts skew as particularly sophisticated or wearable outside of a very casual range of looks. I'm much more a fan of the tees they created for The Row. I understand that these are two totally different price points, but there already seems to be a full market of super-casual tees, and brands like Splendid (IMO) are doing a better job in terms of design. I know there is the added appeal of the Olsens' attachment to the label and the members-only/monthly concept of the site, but I would much rather prefer an affordable alternative to the chic cuts of The Row. Now that is a void that definitely needs filling. (And don't even mention T by Alexander Wang, because those shirts are terribly made...)
