Sui He on Health, Happiness and Beauty

AS the 2013 face of Japanese beauty giant Shiseido and a catwalk favourite of Ralph Lauren, Donna Karan and Chanel, Chinese model Sui He is truly at the top of her game. But amidst the constant whirlwind of fashion shows and campaign shoots, how does she ensure she stays happy, healthy and catwalk-ready?

"Relaxing, experiencing nature and laughing are what rejuvenate me and make me feel happy. I believe that when I feel happy, that's when I look beautiful… I make a point of laughing out loud every single day," she said, citing exercise as her favourite stress-reliever. "As a young child, I suffered from poor health. My parents encouraged me to swim, which really improved my condition."

A thorough five-step skincare regime - comprising cleansing oil, cleansing foam, softener, serum and cream - helps keep He's complexion as flawless as can be, in turn making it clear why she's such a good fit for Shiseido.

"I've always been obsessed with skincare, so representing Shiseido, the skincare powerhouse, is both an honour and a dream come true. I love the way my skin feels every day and every night using Shiseido products," she said when her role for the brand was announced. "And since my career began in Asia and grew to an international level, I feel a strong connection with Shiseido, because the company grew in a similar way over the past 140 years."
