this is beautiful!
thanks runner x
These pieces are nice, but honestly, I feel like these clothes really only look good on young Japanese girls. Try to imagine it on an All-American kind of girl w/ blonde hair and blue eyes, and I don't think the clothes would have nearly the same effect.
^Uh, that's the point. He's a Japanese designer, so he's designing for a Japanese clientele. He doesn't sell outside of Japan as far as I know, so who cares if it's not an aesthetic for the all-American kind of girl? It would be pointless on his part. Anyway, Asian women (not just Japanese) would look good in these clothes, and that's a pretty huge market already. Who ever said regionalism was a bad thing? Universality is so cliche.
Thank you for the pictures, runner! I can't wait for the full collection. He's definitely one of the best designers working today. Better than most of the overrated big names. The kind that get nine pages of comments on this forum for their collections.
I just love these Japanese designers. They have such a broad vision of fashion, but everything they make is always still relevant and very well in context.
Very beautiful and stylish! I love Japanese designers
you are welcome Scott, Uemarasan
this time he went to taitung in taiwan and made this collection under the inspiration he got from there.
improvisation looks he performed there with the fabrics he had brought with him.

so much poetry in those b+w images
beautiful. I love the first coat.
I love the concept he brought to Taiwan. So earthy and human yet ethereal with the use of fabrics. Really, Japanese designers are unequaled when it comes to presenting their collections.
Thank you for the additional photos, runner! I daresay he might be the most poetic designer working today.
you're welcome Uemarasan

"collage dress" and "feather dress"
mens and a few other womens looks from suzukitakayuki.com
thank you, runner, I can't get over how gorgeous the womens pieces are, I saved the entire first page on my files when you first brought it so I'm thrilled to see there's even more to it.. it is so my kind of look, and the brown boots are just adorable.
i really like the drawstring top...
it seems very comfy and easy to wear...
but i have to say that those two dresses in post #19 just pull me in...
they are so poetic in their simplicity...the first one is especially interesting....
would love to see some more details of that or see it on figure somehow...
is that one the feather dress?...
but it doesn't really have feathers, does it?
maybe it's just the details that make one think of feathers?...
anyway...i love them both!...
