^Uh, that's the point. He's a Japanese designer, so he's designing for a Japanese clientele. He doesn't sell outside of Japan as far as I know, so who cares if it's not an aesthetic for the all-American kind of girl? It would be pointless on his part. Anyway, Asian women (not just Japanese) would look good in these clothes, and that's a pretty huge market already. Who ever said regionalism was a bad thing? Universality is so cliche.
Thank you for the pictures, runner! I can't wait for the full collection. He's definitely one of the best designers working today. Better than most of the overrated big names. The kind that get nine pages of comments on this forum for their collections.
