I love the Grecian shoes that Tara Subkoff used for the IoC spring. Does anyone know when those shoes will be availible and where?

oh those wedges in the middle are great! Am much more in a wedge mood for fall than for summer.

thx kimair...i thought think they are pretty nice...

i saw some pumps somewhere and was really surprised...
they are REALLY high though ...
and am i the only one choking on the price???...:yuk:

it's EASY SPIRIT...!!!...
'looks like a pump...feels like a sneaker' has been their tagline for years!!!...
i very much doubt these feel like sneakers...:innocent:

and they certainly cost way more!!...

yea...the prices do seem way expensive for easy spirit...i love the first boot; need to see them in person...

the wedges in the middle were in the august lucky...the heel looks about 4"!!

^ Lucky's all over them! The wedge lace up boots are in September's issue as are the gray suede pumps on the web site (which I love btw ).

Agreed, though. They seem expensive for Easy Spirit on top of not following the comfort motif...

The wedges were on the IOC runway last spring, too::lol:

thanks..i think that must be where i saw them then in lucky mag...

Easy Spirit lost any good will I might have spared upon them when I bought my "girl shoes" which proved that their slogan "looks like a pump, feels like a sneaker," is one of the worst lies in advertising ever. They give me fresh blisters and new pain every time I try to wear them, therefore I have stopped trying to wear them. Supposedly they're an 8-wide, but I have no good proof to that effect.

Anyway, I bet these are even less comfortable than the pair of shoes I bought, since there cannot possibly be any flexibility in the soles, and for 20 times the price.

I don't like the looks of any of 'em particularly, either. The suede boots with the lacing stuff are kind of cool, but I am SO not loving the "wedgie" heels. They remind me too much of Vivienne Westwood's clomptastic platforms and the old-skool Buffalo sneakers. Not my fave look at all! They'd be much, much cuter with a French heel, I think.

I have very sensitive feet (my mother and aunt have bunions and hammer toes from the shoes they wore in the 60s), and I have concluded that if a shoe has a back to it, you have to spend some money if it's going to be comfortable, because you need good leather, an expensive lining and good design/workmanship, which just don't seem to exist at low price points. The price tag indicates you should be getting great quality here, but I question whether this company has the know-how. If you look at the pix that show the inside of the shoes, looks pretty cheap ... maybe someone who's bought a pair can tell us for sure :flower:

I know! They were so cute in Lucky - they didn't lace them all the way up though and tied them to the side. they're way cuter that way. OH and in Lucky they said $380, which I thought was high, but then I checked their site and they're actually $495! ahhh, why can't I find a decent lace-up ankle boot that doesn't cost an arm and two legs?!?

i remember reading when tara started this thing with easy spirit that all her shoes were going to be comfortable and that was why shes doing it, etc.

those dont look so comfy too me. those boots are die for though

I loved the ankle boots when I saw them in Lucky!

Tara was inspired by that horrible article in W about women getting foot surgery to wear stilettos. She wanted to make comfortable shoes.

Does anyone know if they're really comfortable?

Has anyone seen the Tara Subkoff for Easy Spirit Frango Sandal in red anywhere? They dont have red online.

:(

Does anyone know if the Tara Subkoff for Easy Spirit Elie boots are still available anywhere? I know I'm late but as I don't live in the US I had to look on ebay but didn't have any luck. Seems like they are rare and probably sold out by now. But in case you have seen them online or anywhere around, please let me know. I need a size 8.
Pic is from ebay.
