Target's take on Kors' Crosby

My wallet didn't allow me to buy the Crosby's last winter and I have yet to find a pair this year that are at a better price. I also have heard/read bad things about "slippage" due to the height/shape of the wedge/shoe. While I was at Target hunting for cranberry apple juice (I highly recomend it) I took a peek in the shoe section and discovered a pair of boots that looked surprisingly like the Kors' (below are pictures of both). I need boots that are cute but still comfortable for hiking around campus in the snow.
btw, prices for both are
Kors: $353 at Zappos
Target: $34.99

You know, I think I like the Target toe box better ... but I also know that Michael knows what he's doing when it comes to fit, so I would not question him on that. I wonder why they didn't do faux shearling? I suppose the slick faux fur will hold up better ...

Kors just reinterpreted an old '70s suede wedge boot...now target and marc jacobs are doing them. I say buy the original (ebay

For shoes that have the potential to get rather nasty via the salt and ash used to melt snow there is no way I'd pay the Kors price.
And I certainly agree, Target has gotten very good at NOT coming up with their own ideas and borrowing someone else's instead. Although who am I to say anything, I'm thinking of buying the boots!
