Tatler December 2024 : Lyla Elichaoff & Esme Bertelsen by Luc Braquet

Even I'm not interested in this.

In my end-of-year magazine subscription cull, I wouldn't have expected Tatler to start giving me reasons why they should get the chop.

No print subscription yet - I haven't even received last month's issue yet - but looking at the digital issue, it's

Main issue is 180 pages, inside front cover campaign is Dior. I don't like the cover - their mothers are more interesting - but aside from that, all the glitz and glamour that's missing from most other magazines at the moment is all on these pages.

The fashion editorial this month is Welcome to the Tatler Couture Ball, shot by Daniel Sachon, styled by Sophie Pera, at the Hotel Cafe Royal in London.

Features include an interview with Skip Marley, grandson of Bob, a look at Wallis Simpson's 'lotus year' in China, and a feature about Aloysius, the Brideshead bear.

"I have a good mind not to take Aloysius to Venice. I don't want him to meet a lot of horrid Italian bears and pick up bad habits."

This issue comes with their yearly Watches & Jewellery supplement, which is around 130 pages.

Horible cover and ed looks like a teen mag from 2013.

I'm into this, and have come to admire and respect Tatler a whole lot lately. What I love most is how the magazine is not afraid to have fun, and most definitely isn't afraid to serve pure unapologetic glamour. There's a sense of life inside each and every issue, with thought and effort put into every issue. I genuinely can't say the same for British Vogue...

I like the cover and editorial as well. I see real life in the photographs and well-dressed young ladies. A lot is definitely going on in terms of the props but it all works together without looking trashy. The photographs just look cool.
