It's Prince Harry you want, he can't stay away from a lawsuit, he spins them like plates in the air.
I've just received my subscription copy, 136 pgs. Comes with separate supplement, the 2023 Weddings Guide, 80 pgs.
It's something different, to see an illustration / painting on the front of a magazine. Although Tatler's done this before, with the July 2022 issue, where they used a painting of Queen Elizabeth II by Nigerian artist Oluwole Omofemi. We might be seeing an illustrated cover with every July issue?
Inside the cover, it's a gatefold Chanel ad, the rest of the ads are for posh jewellery, perfume and alcohol. Fashion content includes an interview with Bruce Oldfield, and a look at his career dressing people in society. The jewellery edit integrates pieces with old illustrated Tatler covers from the 1950s. The beauty section goes pepto-bismol Barbie.
The theme of art is continued with a look at portraits of King Charles, an interview with the cover artist Sarah Knights, and an editorial which uses as inspiration the National Portrait Gallery's new exhibition of the work of Madame Yevonde. As ever, it's shot by Luc Braquet and styled by Hannah Teare, which is followed by a look at Madame Yevonde's work in Tatler. If you're a fan of this type of retro photography, this issue is a treasure trove.
There's also an interview with royal family photographer Matt Porteous, followed by some 'American royalty' - the daughter and granddaughter of Henry Ford II.
Tatler packs a lot into what seems to be a slight issue.
