Tayane Leão Melo

Love that little interview! She has great taste and I love her voice, she seems very comfortable in front of the camera!

Oh, I thought she was going more into a high fashion direction. Guess not. But she suits the AE campaign well, so I'm not complaining. She's so cute, I just love her face ^_^

She has the cutest little mouth and nose. A tad too "girly" for my liking but there's no denying that her shots by Anouk Morgan are gorgeous.

Ford’s Tayane Leão features in the September 2010 issue of Dazed & Confused in an editorial called “The Outsiders” photographed by Sharif Hamza and styled by Robbie Spencer. The editorial of course borrows its name and some of its teenage angst from the 1967 novel of the same name by S.E. Hinton and the later motion picture adaptation by Francis Ford Coppola in 1983. Set to a darker, grittier M.A.T.H.E.S. remix of Let’s Wrestle‘s “We Are the Men You’ll Grow to Love Soon” Hamza’s component video adaptation of the magazine editorial turns the boredom and listlessness of the printed page into violence and wanton destruction. A baseball bat swings at a lamp. A television is tossed onto carpeted flooring. And cigarette after cigarette is lit for what looks like the first time by ever younger faces. In the midst of the demolition Tayane, in her Uniqlo socks, Converse trainers, and pale blue Benetton polo, looks the only source of calm.

That looks like a really awesome editorial for Tayane :woot: I sure hope we'll get HQ scans of these. Thanks a lot for posting!

She clearly has one of the best cards out of all of Ford's girls. It would be no surprise to me if this girl becomes a top ten newcomer. She has the face structure, the body and that interesting factor that always leaves you wanting more.

^I agree! Her card is the best out of the Ford SS2011 showcards. However I can't really see Tayane becoming a runway sensation. She's too cute, I guess. It will be interesting to see how successful she will be this show season though.
