something I greatly admire on alice is exactly what tinu's pointed out and what her collections are often about:
just rich materials, beautiful embellishment and reminiscences from far away landscapes, not as the exotic getaway for most fashion insiders but more as a historical travel in time.. which makes it worth watching. what tends to put me down with her, is that, when it comes to the clothes, taking all the ornaments and show surroundings away.. it's just painfully plain for me.. I feel like, with all the obvious knowledge she has,
she should be experimenting so much more with her designs rather than keep sending tight v-neck dresses season after season and exclusively relying on how to live them up with accesories or ambiental techniques.
